Flatline is certainly not your ordinary Multi-Format Club DJ. Inspired by a diverse taste in music, he spins and produces it all. Flatline separates himself from other Club DJs by his inoculate fusion of genres that creates a new, invigorating and exciting sound.

What started as a fun hobby has evolved into a passion for music and entertainment. At the age of 13, Flatline was introduced to his first experience with DJ’s. He went to an under 21 club and was amazed at how the DJs controlled and inspired the crowds through music. Soon after he found himself in the DJ booth watching and learning the art of DJ-ing until he was given his moment to shine.

Quickly his career flourished as he found himself as a turntablist for both upcoming and national artists. Developing his own style he has established himself performing all over the country. Currently, he holds five resident spots in Orlando, FL while working toward a Doctorate in Music Theory and Composition.

This year American Happy Hour and Graffiti Junktion are happy to announce that DJ Flent Duncan is back. This will be DJ Flent Duncan’s 5th-year performance at the Thornton Park New Year’s Eve Block Party. “Flent is a crowd favorite in Orlando and our guests always request to have him back” Ross B. Williams of American Happy Hour said. “He not only plays great music from every genre to keep any crowd going, but he also has a way to connect and make friends with the audience for an incredible experience.

Flent Duncan also known as DJ Flent D is a veteran dj of all genres. He began his career using the industry-standard Technics 1200’s then moved to the Pioneer CDJ’s during the age of CDs and digital downloads. The technology presented Flent with an opportunity to go back to his passion for the Technics 1200. He was enabled to combine old with new. 

This breakthrough allowed Flent to diversify his music selection at events.

He went from being a hip hop and r&b dj to an open-format dj. Open-format is specific to no one genre of music. This leaves Flent an open door for creativity and opportunity. We asked Ross what he loves most about creating events. “It’s truly about bringing people together and creating friendships, memories, and sometimes even marriages,” Ross says. “People thank me all the time because they met their best friends at one of my events. We have also had at least six engagements and a wedding take place at our events. It’s the smiles and the community that make everything so amazing.”

Side Splitters Comedy Club is proud to support the Homeless Empowerment Program, a registered 501c3 that has been supporting the local community for more than three decades. The main mission of the HEP is to provide resources to individuals, including veterans, with the clothing, food, and housing they need to live and support themselves. In addition to providing the necessities, the Homeless Empowerment Program also provides a wide variety of support systems that help people all over the community gain employment. The core values of the organization include integrity, cooperation, accountability, respect, and empathy. Put together, these terms form the phrase, I CARE.

The main goal of the organization is to break the cycle of homelessness. Unfortunately, there are far too many individuals and families who live life on the streets. This is particularly difficult for children. Programs supported by the Homeless Empowerment Program help clients secure permanent housing that is critical for helping people escape homelessness.
