Process Parameters Releases Wiring Guide for the Pt100 Temperature Sensor

Process Parameters Ltd is a manufacturer of thermocouples, thermistor sensors and platinum resistance thermometers (also known as RTDs and Pt100s) with many years of experience.

The company is committed to meeting the needs of its customers and providing top-quality products. It provides products that are excellent value for money, backed by the highest levels of service and technical support from experts.

Process Parameters’s products are suitable for a various industries, such as aerospace, automotive, biomass, construction, defence, electronics, food & beverage, foundries, and more. The company’s product selection and specifications meet a wide range of needs over the entire temperature range (including cryogenic temperatures for molten metals).

The company’s wiring guide for Pt100 temperature sensors allows users to understand the wiring process since, according to UK-based industrial temperature sensor experts, a Pt100 temperature sensor’s conductor material depends on the thermocouple’s application.

A Pt100 temperature sensor has special wiring compared to other temperature sensors, particularly thermocouples. Therefore, incorrect sensor wiring could result in an inaccurate measurement or no reading from the measuring device.

According to Process Parameters Ltd’s wiring guide, a Pt100 temperature sensor will allow people to avoid mistakes during the wiring process. However, most people become confused over the misleading term “Pt100 Thermocouple”, as such a sensor type does not exist. Furthermore, this term combines the names of two technologies. Therefore, when specifying a thermocouple or Pt100, it is critical to identify the type of sensor in use.

Process Parameters Ltd states that a Pt100 is a sensor used to measure temperature. One type of sensor falls into a group called Resistance Temperature Detectors or RTDs. Several factors determine the specification of Pt100 temperature sensors, and what follows will describe each factor and allow you to specify a Pt100 temperature sensor easily.

Consequently, a guide for sensor wiring is crucial to ensure that wiring is done correctly. This is because the measuring instrument may give an incorrect or no reading.

The experts at Process Parameters have experience in providing temperature measurement, control, and recording solutions for various industries. Process Parameters Ltd has been involved in product selection and specification to fulfil various equipment over the whole temperature range, from cryogenic temperatures to molten metals.

By offering guides and advice on Pt100 temperature sensors, Process Parameters Ltd aims to make the wiring process as simple as possible. This will ensure the job is done right the first time.

Process Parameters Ltd. states that the circumstances of the process will determine the cable needed to connect the sensor to the measuring unit. Many standard sensors include a flying wire directly attached to the instrument. This cable was carefully chosen to satisfy the application’s temperature requirements and other environmental factors.

Process Parameters Ltd has been in business for over 14 years and serves many clients, from small businesses to large blue-chip companies and universities. Process Parameters Ltd’s discerning and well-trained staff have years of experience in industrial temperature measurement and thermography.

Ice dams are a common problem during the winter months, and can cause significant damage to homes and businesses. SnoBlox-SnoJax has developed a new system that will prevent ice dams from forming, and keep your rooftop free of snow and ice!

The new system utilizes gutter guards to prevent ice melt from turning into ice dams and is designed to work with any existing snow retention system. It’s also very easy to install and requires no special maintenance. Simply place the gutter guards inside your gutters on your rooftop, and it will automatically allow water from ice melt to drain away! The system can be used on any size rooftop and will keep your gutters clean and free of ice and snow.

This new gutter guard system is a must-have for any business or homeowner in areas that experience winter weather with or without a chance of snow. It is an easy and effective way to prevent ice dams and will save you time and money in the long run. Contact SnoBlox-SnoJax today to learn more about this revolutionary new system!

What Are Gutter Guards?

Gutter guards are devices that are placed inside gutters to prevent leaves, twigs, and other debris from clogging them. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be made from different materials such as plastic, metal, or mesh. Gutter guards keep gutters clean and free-flowing, and help to prevent water damage to your home or business.

Why Are Gutter Guards Important?

Gutter guards are important because they help to prevent clogs in gutters. Clogged gutters can cause a number of problems, including water damage to your home or business, insect infestations, and even flooding. Gutter guards keep gutters clean and free-flowing, which helps to prevent these problems. They also prevent ice dams from forming by allowing water from melting ice and snow to drain away.

How Do Gutter Guards Work?

Gutter guards work by preventing leaves, twigs, and other debris from clogging gutters. These guards fit inside gutters and prevent debris from falling in. This prevents clogs and keeps gutters free-flowing. Gutter guards also help to prevent ice dams from forming by allowing water from melting ice and snow to drain away instead of damming up and refreezing on the roof.

Why Are Gutter Guards Important For Snow And Ice?

Gutter guards are important for snow and ice because they help to prevent ice dams from forming. Ice dams are formed when water from melting ice and snow dams up in gutters and then refreezes. This can cause damage to your home or business and is a major problem during the winter months. Gutter guards help to prevent this by allowing water to drain away instead of damming up.

How Do I Choose The Right Gutter Guards?

There are a few things to consider when choosing the right gutter guards for your home or business. First, you need to decide what material you want the guards to be made from. Plastic, metal, and mesh are all common choices. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, so it is important to compare them before making a decision. Second, you need to decide what size guards you need. This will depend on the size of your gutters and the amount of debris they typically collect. Finally, you need to decide how many guards you need. This will depend on the length of your gutters and the number of downspouts they have.

Different Gutter Guard Material – The Pros And Cons

Plastic Gutter Guards

Pros: Plastic gutter guards are the cheapest option. These gutter guards are also the lightest and easiest to install.

Cons: Plastic can be easily damaged by sunlight and extreme temperatures. These gutter guards are also not as durable as other options.

Metal Gutter Guards

Pros: Metal gutter guards are more durable than plastic guards. They are also less likely to be damaged by sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Cons: Metal gutter guards are more expensive than plastic guards. The metal ones are also heavier and more difficult to install.

Mesh Gutter Guards

Pros: Mesh gutter guards are the most durable option. They are also the best at preventing debris from entering gutters.

Cons: Mesh gutter guards are more expensive than plastic and metal guards. Mesh is quite heavy and more difficult to install.

How Do I Install Gutter Guards?

Installing gutter guards is a relatively simple process. First, you need to clean your gutters and remove any debris. Next, you need to measure your gutters to make sure you know the length and cut the guards to size. Finally, you need to install the guards in your gutters. You can install them by using screws, nails, or adhesive.

How Often Should I Clean My Gutters?

Gutters need to be cleaned at least once a year to keep them free of debris. However, if you have a lot of trees near your home or business, you may need to clean them more often. This is because leaves and twigs can fall into the gutters and cause clogs. Cleaning your gutters regularly will help to prevent problems and keep your gutters working properly.

U.S Made Roofing Fall Protection Tools Now Available At Fall Protection Distributors

Fall Protection Distributors is proud to announce that they now carry roofing tools made in the USA. These tools are of the highest quality and have been tested to meet the most stringent safety standards. With a wide selection of roof anchors, fall protection equipment, and safety accessories, Fall Protection Distributors is your one-stop shop for all your roofing protection needs. Visit the Fall Protection website today for more information.

When Is Fall Protection Required?

OSHA recommends fall protection implementation anytime workers are at height, generally more than 6′ up.  An OSHA safety plan is vitally important for roofers working on all roof types and all roof pitches.  Steeper roofs may require special equipment and planning. It is always best to consult with a properly trained safety manager or professional when planning a project at height.

Selecting The Right Tool For The Roof

Most fall protection equipment is designed for use with either asphalt shingles or metal roofs. Asphalt shingle roofs are the most common type of roof in the United States, so there is a wide variety of tools available for this type of roof. Metal roofs are less common, and may require more specialized fall protection anchors.  In order to maintain the waterproof integrity of the system, standing seam panels cannot have equipment mechanically fastened through the panels.  Therefore, specialized anchors fabricated specifically for standing seam must be used.  These anchor use set screws to lock onto the seams, instead of screwing through the metal.

When working on any roof type, the first step is to make sure your safety equipment is in place before you start working on the roof. This can be done by putting on a harness, attaching a fall protection anchor to the roof.  Once your anchor is properly installed, a vertical lifeline is attached that will trail down the roof. The worker then will attach the lanyard with rope grab to the vertical lifeline. There are numerous ways of doing this, but this is the most common method. The main thing that changes for different roof types is the type of anchorage used to fasten to the roof.

No matter what type of roof you are working on, it is always best to consult with a trained safety manager or professional before beginning any work. This will ensure that you have the right tools and that you know how to use them properly.

What Personal Safety Equipment Is A Must When Working On A Roof?

When working on a roof, it is always best to wear safety equipment. This includes a hard hat, gloves, and safety glasses. It is also a good idea to wear long pants and a long-sleeved shirt to protect your skin from the sun. If working at height, always develop a suitable OSHA safety plan that includes fall protection and a rescue plan in case of a fall.

How Do Fall Protection Distributors Do Tool Testing?

All of the tools that Fall Protection Distributors sell are tested to meet the highest safety standards. This includes testing for durability, strength, and stability. Fall Protection Distributors is committed to providing their customers with the safest and most reliable products on the market.

All equipment, especially the roofing safety equipment like harnesses and roofing anchors are tested to be compliant with OSHA/ANSI standards.  The team at Fall Protection Distributors takes great pride in providing their customers with the highest quality products available.

Introducing Snow Guard Rails From SnoBlox-SnoJax – The Number One Snowguard Solution

SnoBlox-SnoJax offers a complete line of snow retention solutions for nearly all roof types. These systems are designed to prevent the sliding of snow and ice and prevent damage. Snoblox-Snojax was the pioneer in the industry of polycarbonate snowguards, having developed the world’s first one in 1976.

Snow Guard – A Winter Climate Necessity

For homes and businesses located in cold winter climates, snow safety is a crucial aspect of construction. When snow accumulates on roofs it can pose a risk to vent pipes, gutters, deck railings, pedestrians, vehicles and HVAC equipment.

Shingled roofs are often capable of stopping the avalanching effect. However, metal roofs do not have the same rough texture. This causes snow to simply slide quickly from the roof to the ground below. This can sometimes happen unexpectedly, posing an even greater risk to those below.

Snow Guard Innovation

Snow guards are designed to hold snow in place on the roof. This allows the snow to melt gradually. When snow can be kept in place this way, it decreases the chance of the avalanching snow causing damage or injuries.

Snow guards are known by many names. Snow birds, snow stops, and even snow cleats are just a few of the terms used to describe this innovative device that can make homes a safer place during the winter.

Differences In Snow Guards

There are a few different types of snow guards. These are generally known as snow retention systems.

Pad Style- This type of snow retention is comprised of individually mounted guards typically made of metal or polycarbonate. There are various designs to fit different panel types. These components are about 2-3” tall. The size of the components used will be based on the expected ground snow load rating for the project location. There is also a Snowbreaker style made of polycarbonate that is used to break up the snow and ice while still allowing it to slide off the roof. These are commonly used over doorways or on solar panels.

Snow Rail/Bar System- Snow rails are often used in areas where very heavy loads of snow are expected. Rail and bar systems are designed to have a clean, low profile look once installed. They can also be color matched to help them blend into the roof system.

Snow rails are often used on commercial metal roofs. These larger structures need a snow retention system that will ensure a snow avalanche does not endanger people passing below.

Snow Guards Intended Use

Snow guards are recommended for anyone with a metal roof living in a climate that expects a good amount of snowfall each year. This product is an important addition to your metal roof. This product can decrease the chances of damage or injuries on a property during the winter months.

Other Ways To Prevent Winter Damage or Injuries

In addition to the use of snow guards, there are other ways to help prevent damage to property or injuries to people during the winter months.

Snow and ice removal- Snow and ice removal from areas where foot traffic is expected is a necessary chore during the winter months. This can greatly reduce the instances of injuries on the property.

Winterization- Winterizing a property for the upcoming winter is another important step that can be taken to prevent property damage. Extreme winter temperatures can cause pipes to burst, causing flooding. This type of property damage can be complicated and expensive to repair.

Dead limb removal- It is also important that dead limbs are removed before heavy frost and snow begin to accumulate. Dead limbs on trees can fall suddenly, causing damage to property and can cause injuries to people or animals passing below.

SnoBlox-SnoJax brings innovative snow retention systems to homeowners and business owners. These products can help prevent injuries, damage, and liability during the winter months.

Fall Protection Distributors Introduces A One Size Fits All Standing Seam Roof Anchor

It is made of durable stainless steel hardware that can withstand the elements and provides a secure hold for Standing seam roofs. The SSRA1 standing seam anchor also only needs to be installed once every five years.

For more information about the SSRA1 Standing Seam Roof Anchor, visit Fall Protection Distributors

Why Are Standing Seam Roofs Different?

Standing seam roofs are designed to resist water and wind damage better than traditional flat roofs. They also provide extra insulation against extreme temperatures. But because of their unique design, they require a different type of standing seam roof anchor for every kind of standing seam roof.

The SSRA1 standing seam roof anchor from Fall Protection Distributors is a one size fits all model that can be used on any roof. This makes it a unique design in the roofing industry. It is made of durable stainless steel components that can withstand the elements and provides a secure hold for working on metal standing seam roofs. The standing seam anchor also only needs to be installed once every five years.

For more information about the universal Standing Seam Roof Anchor, visit Fall Protection Distributors today.

What Makes the SSRA1 Standing Seam Roof Anchor Model Unique?

The SSRA1 was just subjected to Ultimate Failure testing at an ISO 17025/ANSI Z359.18 certified materials testing lab, which passed with flying colors. Our expectations were exceeded, as was that of our competition. The OSHA and ANSI maximum load capacity is 5,000 pounds, but the SSRA1 was tested at 14,500 pounds of force. When the Grade 8 top bolts sheared, the aluminum anchor body was completely unharmed or bent; thus, the experiment was completed. The unique structural design of the anchor body accounts for this spectacular strength. This places the SSRA1 in a category by itself!

This life-saving gadget has a unique, non-penetrating design that is unlike anything else on the market. A solid 6061-T6 aluminum body with 12 stainless steel set screws is included in the standard setup. For single-person attachment, a 5,000 lbs certified D-ring is also included in the standard assembly. It arrives pre assembled as a single seam, single-user anchor, and ready to use. This compression-type anchor with bolts that squeeze the seam between the metal plates is far superior to set screws and weaker compression designs because it doesn’t allow the device to move when subjected to forces as weaker compression designs do. It also doesn’t damage the roof panels as set screws do.

What Are The Advantages Of The SSRA1 Standing Seam Roof Anchor?

The SSRA1 Standing Seam Roof Anchor has many advantages over other roof anchors.

At just 4.5lbs, the SSRA1 standing seam roof anchor is the world’s lightest OSHA 5,000 certified anchor. This makes it perfect for anyone looking for a quick and easy installation with minimal tools required. Whether you need a temporary or permanent attachment solution, this product has you covered.

The universal fit design works on more than 500 Standing Seam Panel Profiles – and there’s no reassembly required! It fits t-seams, bulb seams, SnapLok, single lok, double lok MR-24, and more. In fact, no other anchor fits as many profiles.

The ANSI ASTM B-117 Salt Spray test ensures that our non-corrosive aluminum and stainless steel components won’t corrode. For a permanent installation, we can powder-coat your standing seam roof anchor to match the color of your roof.

This product is also backed with a Lifetime Life-Saving Warranty because it is made in the USA.

The sleek, low-profile design of this anchor when attaching to the seam prevents trip hazards and is less noticeable on permanent attachments.

This roof anchor has been safety tested to endure up to 5,000 lbs of pulling force from every direction. Additionally, workers can access both sides of the roof without having to reposition the anchor. If you’d like further reassurance, you can review the test report on the Fall Protection Distributors Test Report Page.

The only certified component system for attaching pretty much anything to a standing seam roof. The customizable mount enables you to attach equipment from various fall protection manufacturers. Attachment of roof jacks, walk boards, SRLs, horizontal lifelines, ladder anchoring, and other items is possible using this product. The catch, you will need a torque wrench with a downrange reading up to in/lbs and a 3/16″ hex bit socket for proper installation.

What’s Included When You Buy A SSRA1 Standing Seam Roof Anchor?

When buying an SSRA1 anchor, you can expect the following:

-6061-T6 Aluminum Body for a universal fit design

-5,000 lbs certified D-Ring

-12 cupped tipped screws that are 3/16″ hex/Allen bit compatible

-3/16″ hex/Allen bit

-Lifetime Life-Saving Warranty included

-The owner’s Manual also included

If you only want to use your anchor once or twice and remove it again, Fall Protection Distributors recommends using Nylon Tipped Set Screws for less chance of damaging the standing seam metal roof panels.

SnoBlox Snow Guards Prove Cost-Effective for Metal Roofs

With the winter weather continuing to come down, it is important for homeowners to make sure they protect their roofs against the elements. One of the best tools for doing exactly that is SnoBlox Snow Guards. Now, with novel, innovative protection for metal roofs, it is possible for homeowners to protect their structures and save money this winter. These snow guards have been made with some of the best materials in the industry, providing every homeowner with the peace of mind they deserve. With protection against potential leaks and ice dams, it is possible for homeowners to enjoy the winter weather while also reducing their chances of suffering roof damage this winter.

The Advantages of Metal Roofs

There are a number of reasons why so many homeowners in the local area have decided to install a metal roof on their houses. First, metal roofs can last a long time. Depending on the exact type of material used to make the roof, it is not unusual for homeowners to get multiple decades of life out of the roof. Second, metal rooms are incredibly durable. They can stand up to the winter weather in the area, and they can stand up to extreme wind. There are some metal roofs that are also impact-resistant.

Another major advantage of metal roofs is that they are incredibly safe. In the event of a wildfire, they will not ignite, adding an extra layer of fire protection. Metal roofs also reflect ultraviolet rays from the sun, reducing energy expenses. As a result, metal roofs are a great way for homeowners to save money. For all of these reasons, lots of homeowners have gone with metal roofs, but it is important to invest in protection against winter weather.

How Snow Guards Protect Metal Roofs From Harm

Even though metal roofs are incredibly durable, snow can build up quickly. It is important for homeowners to prevent snow slides because this can be dangerous for people standing underneath the roof and it can lead to significant roof damage. That is exactly where snow guards can be helpful.

Snow guards have been specifically designed to slow the sliding of snow along the roof. They allow the snow to melt completely before it flies off the roof, or they allow the snow to slide down the roof in smaller amounts. This is important for protecting both residential and commercial structures in the local area. Those who live in the immediate vicinity understand that snow can come down and sheets in the blink of an eye. Snow guards can go a long way toward protecting roofs from harm.

SnoBlox Snow Guards Provide Homeowners With Peace of Mind

It is important for homeowners and business owners to make sure they choose the right snow guards for their roofs, and one of the best options comes from SnoBlox. SnoBlox snow guards have been made using a polycarbonate material. Therefore, they are significantly more durable than other options available. They can be installed on residential or commercial structures, and they prevent damage to not only the roof but also other roof structures. These include skylights and roof vents. Visionary Marketplace Entrepreneur and Community Builder, Todd Haselhorst, Creates Storm Advisor™

Miami-Dade County resident, visionary entrepreneur, and community builder, Todd Haselhorst, announces his newest venture launched in October of 2021, StormAdvisor™. Throughout his career, he has chosen highly fragmented and antiquated industries where he can apply tech-enabled marketplace solutions and automated processes to reduce fraud, waste, and cost such as Auto Transport Plus sold to NYSE-KAR and CubeMonk, a transportation and labor marketplace for the logistics industry that is currently undergoing a merger.

In November 2020, after Hurricane Sally hit Florida and caused widespread property damage, Todd and his friend Nick created Hercules Construction to support the recovery efforts of people’s homes. They found that contractors were exploiting homeowners by providing poor quality work or sometimes even running off with their money. Haselhorst then began to realize how large and widespread the problems were facing homeowners in need of repairs. He quickly understood that much like in the logistics industry, that homeowners didn’t have the information, experience, and resources necessary to safely and quickly navigate the process of restoring their home.

With Todd’s background in building marketplaces, he creatively and innovatively formed StormAdvisor™ so families could quickly and easily access their network of pre-vetted contractors, insurance adjusters, and restoration experts who could be trusted to restore their biggest asset back to pre-storm conditions, focusing first on Florida and Louisiana.

Part of StormAdvisor’s mission is providing homeowners with a curated network of professionals to assist them throughout the entire process of filing a claim and repairing their home after a major storm. Most people have little to no experience with this lengthy process. Insurance companies, adjusters, and contractors take advantage of this fact—costing families time, money, and sometimes even their home.

Climate change increased the number of destructive storms by 40% over the last 20 years. In 2020 alone, 22 major storms caused over $1B in damage, breaking previous records. As a result, scammers flock to devastated communities to take advantage of these vulnerable homeowners. It’s gotten so bad, states are passing legislation to eliminate the predatory practices of these contractors, but it’s not working

“Our solution is an online marketplace that is hyperfocused on a niche experience overlooked by companies like Angi, HomeAdvisor, and Thumbtack. None of these platforms focus on storm restoration – a dramatically different experience than home improvement,” says CEO & Founder Todd Haselhorst. “StormAdvisor™ is the first company to focus on building software tools and providing unbiased information in this underserved $100 billion dollar market.”

More About Todd Haselhorst: Todd Haselhorst is a serial entrepreneur who has been building businesses since the age of 12. He was born in Hays, Kansas amongst a family of construction company entrepreneurs. Todd followed suit at the age of 12 by creating a pipeline of lawn service clients and has never looked back. Since then he has built businesses in many different industries including: Auto Transport Plus sold to NYSE-KAR and CubeMonk, a transportation and labor marketplace for the logistics industry that is currently undergoing a merger.

He attended the University of Kansas studying Economics & Game Theory while playing a key role as Defensive Line Tackle on the best team in school history which later won the Orange Bowl in Miami, FL. Haselhorst’s vision was always innovative from a young age. Todd, who studied the science of decision making, developed a passion for creating systems that align the incentives of all the participants.

During his moments of rest or activity, he enjoys reading, learning, traveling, hiking, camping, fitness, and practicing daily yoga, meditation, and self-development. His colleagues, family, and friends describe him as a genuine listener and goal-oriented human being who cares deeply about helping others.
